During the period of January 2007, Sirius Recruitment launched its new website. As part of a marketing drive, Sirius offered its client base the opportunity to go on line, view the new website and nominate one of three charities to which Sirius would make a donation.

The three charities involved were The House With No Steps, The RSPCA and Wesley Mission.

To present the cheques, Sirius' Managing Director, Stephen Smith and Sandee McMillan head of S.O.S. visited the sites and discussed with the charities individually how the money would be used and what incentive schemes were run for companies to work more and more closely with them.

The scheme was very successful, providing donations in excess of $16,000 spread between the three charities.

Sirius is now considering its role within the wider community this year and how it will go about working closely with charities and its donation schemes.
